Calculators, trackers and reports that travel.

Much of a business runs on small tools — a pricing calculator, a project tracker, a monthly report — that live in spreadsheets, email attachments and subscriptions. IDOP lets each one be a single file that does its job and keeps its data.

§ 01The problem

What tends to go wrong today.

  1. A spreadsheet model is sent around, and its formulas drift from the numbers in the slide that quotes it.
  2. A simple internal tool needs a hosted application, an account and a login for every colleague.
  3. Reports go out as static exports; the question behind every number needs another email.

§ 02Where IDOP fits

What the format changes.

One file per tool

A calculator, a tracker or a checklist is an .idop file: send it, archive it, open it years later.

Logic you can inspect

The rules live in the document as readable code, next to the data they act on.

No network unless declared

A document cannot send your figures anywhere unless its manifest says where, and you allow it.

§ 03Honestly

What exists today — and what does not.

Available today

  • Templates for invoices, budgets, inventory, timesheets, project timelines, meeting notes and decision matrices
  • Cloud storage and sharing by link in IDOP Cloud
  • Documents that call a declared API with your key, which stays in the reader

Not yet

  • Team workspaces with roles and administration (planned)
  • Invoiced plans for companies (planned)

§ 04Examples

IDOP Cloud runs in the browser. Start from a template, open a file you were sent, or keep your own — no installation, and no account needed just to open a document.
