Mission

Make interactive documents as durable, portable and safe to open as the ones we keep today.

§ 01What we believe

Documents should be able to hold the work, not just describe it.

For as long as there have been documents, they have recorded things computed, decided or designed somewhere else. Software made it possible to put the computation in front of the reader — but it moved that computation onto platforms, behind accounts, into formats that only one service can open.

We think there is a better arrangement: documents that contain their own logic and data, that anyone can open with a reader they trust, that cannot do anything their reader has not allowed, and that belong to whoever holds the file. A budget model that can be questioned. A paper whose figures can be explored. A lesson that remembers the student, not the platform.

That requires two things to be true at once: the format must be open, so documents outlive any product, and it must be safe, so opening a file never requires trusting its author with your computer, your data or your keys. Everything we build follows from those two requirements.

IDOP Cloud runs in the browser. Start from a template, open a file you were sent, or keep your own — no installation, and no account needed just to open a document.
